CRYO
CRYO BARREL STRESS RELIEF

What is CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief

Wind, temperature, vibration and personal skill are enough variables to keep you busy while shooting. A stress-affected moving barrel should not be another concern. CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief helps eliminate that problem and increases accuracy.

CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief is a computer-controlled scientific dry process. which relieves stress in firearm barrels. Stresses cause a barrel to bend or warp as it heats from repeated firing. This warping causes a stringing, walking or wandering effect in the shot group. After the Deep Cryogenic Tempering process, the barrel will no longer bend or warp. The end result is a firearm barrel will proven, increased performance (including improved accuracy and extended barrel life).

Your Barrel Will Last Longer, Be Stronger,
Shoot Better  And be Easier To Clean!

All firearms are produced with internal stresses.
As the metal is bored, reamed and machined, mechanical stresses are created. As forgings and castings cool, the differing rates of temperature change introduce residual stresses. heat treating leaves thermal stresses behind.

Careful manufacturing, of course, provides barrels that shoot well... stresses and all. CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief, however, can improve even benchrest-quality barrels by relieving the internal stresses... with no risk of damage to the barrel or the action of a
fine gun.

Stresses cause barrels to twist and arc as they heat up from firing. This is one reason why good three-shot rifle groups are easier to get than good five-shot groups. Shotguns do the same thing. At the end of a typical 10-shot sporting clays range. With 25 shots, pattern placement can shift six-inches at clay range. With 25 shots, pattern placement can shift up to 12 inches --a 40% change in pattern.

The CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief
To relieve internal stresses, CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief treats the firearm barrel to an even temperature all the way through from surface to core. It then cycles the entire unit, slowly and carefully ( under a programmed computer profile) through a wide temperature range in a process that can last more than 40 hours.
The CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief process is completely computer-controlled to within 1* Fahrenheit throughout the complete cycle. The firearm barrel is taken down to +300* F. The Deep Cryogenic Processor utilizes a dry process where no liquid comes in contact with the firearm barrel. This pain-staking method eliminates the chance of thermal shock and micro-cracking.

CRYO-Barrel Stress Relief permanently refines the grain structure of a firearm barrel at the molecular level and produces a homogeneously stabilized barrel. Carbon particles precipitate as  carbides into a lattice structure and fill the microscopic voids This creates
a denser, smoother surface that reduces friction, heat and wear. The result is better shot groups in handguns and rifles and more consistent coverage and placement of shotgun patterns.
